Has your child been itching to see their Pawsox heroes up close? They can meet two of them at the Providence Children's Museum this Friday.

Happy summer, Rhode Island! After a long week and a couple of crazy hot days, it’s time to abandon the A/C and get out the house! It's a jam-packed summer weekend...enjoy it with activities for all ages at these must-see events.

Meet the Pawsox, Providence Children’s Museum, Providence

Friday  Don’t miss out on the chance to meet the Pawsox mascot and two Pawsox players at the Providence Children’s Museum. Every kid likes to meet their hero and this is the perfect chance to meet two future major league baseball players. The players will sign autographs, answer questions and hangout with the kids as they show off some of their signature baseball moves. 11am-noon. 100 South Street. Admission is $9. House and Garden, Providence

Saturday-Sunday  Get a good laugh in this weekend at the Trinity Repertory Company's production of House and Garden. This event combines two interlocking comedies performed at the same time! These two comedies would be successful on their own, however together they make a unique theatre experience full of laughter and fun. 2pm Saturday, 2pm & 7:30pm Sunday. 201 Washington Street. 4th of July concert series, Bristol

Sunday  Put on you parrothead gear and head down to Bristol to see Changes in Latitude put on a tribute show to the one and only Jimmy Buffet. Changes in Latitude have performed all over America and have entertained audiences with their authentic renditions of Jimmy Buffet’s hits. If you can’t make it this Sunday, the Bristol 4th of July Concert Series offers a different concert every night right up until the 4th. 7pm. Independence Park, Thames Street. Admission is free. Thomas Tew Rum Tasting Cruise- "Spirits of the Seas, Newport

Saturday  Hop aboard the Gansett and enjoy a 90-minute cruise as you sample a special variety of Thomas Tew signature cocktails. The cruise will take you through Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay as you learn about the history and importance of rum in Newport. 6:30-8pm. 31 Bowen's Warf. Price is $30. Zoobilee! Feast with the Beast, Providence

Saturday  Join the exotic animals at Roger Williams Zoo for their largest fundraiser of the year. The event will be catered by a dozen of providence’s best restaurants, caterers, and bars along with live music and dancing. All proceeds from the event go to help support the Zoo's environmental education and wildlife conservation programs.
