Friday-Sunday  Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Mary Poppins is coming to Providence this weekend. A spellbinding performance of song, dance, and costume, Mary Poppins is sure to please everyone. Mardi Gras in Woonsocket

Saturday  Can’t make it to New Orleans for this year’s Mardi Gras? Don’t worry; it’s coming to you! Don your most lavish costume, most colorful beads, and most festive attitude for 2012’s annual Northern RI Council on the Arts Mardi Gras Celebration! Dance it up at the CYO Center’s Mardi Gras Ball, featuring the Slippery Sneakers band performing zydeco, blues, soul and Cajun music, with a buffet served 6:30 – 8 pm. St. Ann's Art & Cultural Center will also have live music from The Jeff Gamache Orchestra, playing swing, blues, country, disco and rock & roll. Bring the kids to an earlier Children’s Mardi Gras celebration from 11 am -2 pm at the CYO Center for a costume party and contest, parade, entertainment, food and more! 5:30 -11 pm. Tickets are $25, $30 at the door. Children’s Mardi Gras Party free. Lincoln’s Birthday in Lincoln

Sunday  President Lincoln may have died over a hundred years ago, but his memory still lives on. Come celebrate Lincoln’s 203rd birthday in the town named after him this weekend.
