Don't miss ventriloquist and all around funnyman Jeff Dunham when his Disorderly Conduct tour stops in Providence this weekend.

Jeff Dunham: Disorderly Conduct Tour

Saturday  Catch comedian Jeff Dunham and all of his sidekicks when their world tour lands in Providence this weekend. The characters you know and love are back with a whole new show, and it promises to be funnier than ever. Get down to the Dunkin Donuts center and you can skip your trip to the gym this week—you’ll burn all those calories laughing. 5 pm at the Dunkin Donuts Center, 1 LaSalle Square, Providence, RI. $47.50.

French American School's Beaujolais Festival

Friday  Inspired by the French tradition of celebrating the first taste of the year’s vintage Beaujolais, the French-American School of Rhode Island will host its twentieth annual Beaujolais Festival. The cost of admission entitles you to unlimited hand-selected wines, a live show, French hors-d’oeuvres, and a silent auction in a beautifully decorated Versailles-masquerade-themed ballroom. 14th Annual Mews Tavern Gear and Beer 5K

Like running? Beer? Good causes? Then head out to the Mews Tavern Gear and Beer 5K and get all three.

Sunday  The 14th Annual Mews Tavern Gear and Beer 5K is a can’t-miss for the Rhode Island fitness and micro-brew enthusiast. If you’re a runner, you can race for time and compete to win cash prizes, and if you’re not, you can still win outdoor gear at the post-race raffle, compete for team titles, or just be part of the fun! The 5K benefits Easter Seals RI—last year, they raised $35,000. You can register the day of the race starting at 10am, or register online to save a few dollars. Providence Roller Derby Championship Double Header 

Saturday  Check out the most intense night of the roller derby season at the Championship Double Header! First, the Mob Squad and the Boston Train Wrecks will battle it out, followed by a heated match between the Sakonnet River Roller Rats and the Old Money Honeys. If you’ve never watched this many-wheeled sport, now is the time to start! Bring your family, bring your friends, and bring your loudest cheering voice—you’ll need it. Doors open at 5:00, and buy your tickets in advance for the best prices! 6 pm at the Rhode Island Convention Center, 1 Sabin Street, Providence, RI.

 Arts in Rhode Island Handmade Holiday 

Saturday & Sunday  Start the holiday season off right by shopping this warm and cozy collection of handmade gift ideas. The collaborative of Rhode Island artists who sell their handmade goods on Etsy will be setting up shop at the Red Barn in East Greenwich to celebrate the season the local way—and with refreshments! Be sure to stop in and check out the array of jewelry, ceramics, photography, fine art, woodcrafts, ornaments and more. 10 am at the Red Barn, 30 Middle Road, East Greenwich, RI.
