WaterFire in Providence

Vintage Baseball on the East Side

Saturday  If you haven't taken in a vintage game with bare hands and old-school uniforms, then you're not a patriot. Kick off summer with these boys of summer. Begins at 11am. Gaspee Days Arts and Crafts Festival, Pawtuxet, Warwick

Saturday-Monday  Another rite of the arrival of summer, this annual festival hosts 150-200 craft exhibitors, and attracts 50,000 guests. It also features a professional food court, free family music and entertainment! Free admission. All proceeds benefit the Gaspee Days Parade. Newport Rotary Charity Polo Match

Polo, a summer rite on Aquidneck, gets off to a big start this weekend.

Saturday  The Newport Rotary Club's annual benefit match will get the ball rolling this summer at the polo grounds of Glen Farm at 5 pm. Hosted by the Newport Polo Club, the match features the home team playing against a regional challenger in a classic six-chukker dual. All sale proceeds of the day support the Rotary’s many scholarship and charitable programs, and local and international giving programs. 715 East Main Rd, Portsmouth, (401) 846-0200, www.newportrotary.org.

TechnoCraft in Jamestown

Friday-Saturday Hera Gallery & Education Foundation, Jamestown Arts Center and The Engine Institute, Inc., present TechnoCraft, an exhibition of artists who are inspired by and use technology to enhance the impact of their work. Some of the works blink, buzz, glow, flap, and spin showing the technology front and center. In other cases the technology is the process driving the creation of the work it is not evident. The show a lively and provocative experience expands the boundaries of what is usually found hanging in galleries. 10am-2pm, free admission. Jamestown Arts Center, 18 Valley St, Jamestown.
