Friday-Sunday The new Broadway musical, Come Fly Away, is coming to Providence. Come enjoy the show that brings Frank Sinatra’s famous vocals and Twyla Tharp’s renowned choreography, and a live on-stage big band. Parade begins at noon, from Jenks Jr. High School (Intersection of Columbus Avenue & Division Street), and travels along South Bend, Walcott and Main Streets into Downtown Pawtucket, ending at City Hall on Roosevelt Avenue. Sunday Saluting Irish heritage in RI, a special tour is being offered Sunday afternoon. Explore the past in with an historical tour of the Smith-Appleby House, one of RI’s early Colonial era settlements. A Joyful Tribute to Ruth Simmons Concert

Saturday In honor of their President’s last year before leaving campus, The Brown University Orchestra, with a chorus of 150 talented singers from Brown and Providence College, is putting on Beethoven’s 9th Symphony under the direction of Paul Phillips. The evening includes vocal solos, other works by Verdi, Bruckner and Brahms, and a pre-concert lecture on Beethoven beginning at 7 p.m. by Professor David Josephson. The Rhythm of Change Festival at Brown
