The Dog Whisperer in Providence
Saturday Ever wish you could talk to your dog? Watch Cesar Millan, the master, work wonders on stage this weekend at the Providence Performing Arts Center. Millan has written three books, starred on the National Geographic Channel, appeared on “Oprah” and “The Tonight Show,” becoming one of the most famous animal folks in the world. Festival of Lights in Wickford
Friday-Sunday Experience Wickford’s colonial charm this weekend as the village is set alight by thousands of white lights. There will be a live nativity performed, carols in the park, Lafayette Band’s “Holiday Concert,” and Santa! Saturday Come enjoy games, food, shopping, and Santa this Saturday to benefit the American Cancer Society. There will be raffles, jewelry, hot dogs, baked goods, and drinks. Magevet, Yale University's Jewish A Cappella Group
Saturday Is Chanukah on your mind this holiday season? Yale University's a cappella group, Magevet, is coming to Temple Emanu-El for a one-night-only concert, performing diverse Jewish, Hebrew, and Israeli music. Come enjoy the group’s talented tones and sense of humor as they will be sing a little bit of everything to please everyone. 41st Annual Bowen's Wharf Christmas Tree Lighting
Saturday Come to Newport for a night of events centered around the annual tree lighting in Newport. Meet Frosty the Snowman at 4:30, join a Christmas Carol Sing-A-Long at 5 p.m., and greet Santa and Mrs. Claus at 6 p.m. for the tree lighting. Free Admission, Rain, shine, or snow.
