Two shows at Mohegan Sun
The long weekend is a great time to head to Mohegan Sun where two big shows are featured this weekend. On Sunday, bring the parents to the 50th anniversary tour of The Who, with two founding members Roger Daltry and Pete Townshend leading the way. Even better, Joan Jett opens. Very few tickets remain for both shows – click here for details.
GGG at Ocean Mist Tonight
The Ocean Mist in Matunuck is one of RI’s leading beach bars and things really start heating up this time of year. Head down to the beach tonight for Boston’s Girls, Guns, Glory, one of the nation’s top rock/country/soul bands. The band has been tearing it up recently with original songs and Hank Williams covers, which can be heard on their recently released tribute album. Music starts at 8PM. Ticket info here.
Greg Abate
Woonsocket native and top notch sax player Greg Abate will grace the stage at Chan’s tomorrow night – along with his band including John Lockwood on bass, Tim Ray on piano, and Mark Walker on drums. They’ll likely feature tunes from his latest album Motif, released on the New Bedford based Whaling City Sound label. If you’ve never seen Abate live, head to Chan’s for a great night of world class jazz. Tickets are $15 for the 8PM show.
