Girls, Guns, Glory Friday

One of Boston’s best bands comes to the Knickerbocker Music Center (formerly Knickerbocker Café) in Westerly Friday Night. Girls, Guns & Glory has earned an international following behind Ward Hayden’s singing and songwriting. Expect to hear a lot from their latest gem of an album, Love and Protest. Allysen Callery Saturday

The Road to SXSW begins Saturday night in Warren for singer-songwriter Allysen Callery. The ghost-folk diva from Bristol is appearing tomorrow night at the Church Street Coffeehouse in Warren. Next week, she’s one of several RI bands heading to the prestigious “South by Southwest” festival in Austin, TX.  She’s joined by frequent touring partner Ryan Lee Crosby, a 12-string guitar genius. Tanya Donelly in Newport

Newport native Tanya Donelly will be appearing at a rare local show Thursday March 16th at the Salvation Café. The groundbreaking musician, known for her work in iconic bands Throwing Muses and Belly, will be backed by Bob Kendall (who is curating the Salvation series) and his band. Sarah Jarosz at Narrows

Singer Songwriter Sarah Jarosz comes to town on March 16th just weeks after earning her first Grammy award. The Austin, Texas native actually won two Grammys, one for Best Folk Album for Undercurrent and another for Best Americana Roots Performance for “House of Mercy.” See what all the buzz is about at the Narrows Center next Thursday. 10 String Symphony opens at 8PM. Stars With Guitars

"Stars With Guitars" return to the Dunkin’ Donuts Center next Thursday March 16th. The show is a benefit for Hasbro Children’s Hospital and features a slew of leading country stars. They include Josh Turner, Locash, Jon Pardi, Love and Theft, Ryan Follese, and Runaway June. The show is billed as a “guitar pull,” an up close and personal concert with all the artists on stage at once. A few tickets remain – details here.
