The Paskamansett Concert Series is a new series held at the Dartmouth Grange at 1133 Fischer Rd. in Dartmouth, MA. Its organized by Russ Smith, who previously booked shows at Sandywoods. He’s put together a fine line up starting tomorrow night with the Spindle Rock River Rats. The band plays traditional acoustic tunes specializing in “songs of yesteryear, fiddle tunes, county and bluegrass.” Show starts at 7:30, tickets are $15 with discounts for seniors and kids.

Spirit of Cesaria at Fete Saturday

The late Cesária Évora is considered the greatest Cape Verdean artist ever. The Grammy winning singer excelled in the folk genre known as “Morna,” the national musical style of Cape Verde. Tomorrow’s show “The Spirit of Cesaria” at Fete includes members of her band The Cesária Évora Orchestra featuring Nancy Vieira, Jenifer Solidade & Nilza Silva with guest Dino D'Santiago. Tickets are $30 in advance, $40 day of show. Music starts at 9PM.

Art Garfunkel at the Greenwich Odeum Saturday

Also tomorrow, don’t miss a rare show in an intimate venue from a legendary performer, Art Garfunkel. Art’s not just half of the greatest duo in history, he’s also a remarkable solo performer. Recent set lists suggest we’re in for a treat – lots of classics including many S&G favorites. Late word is that the Greenwich Odeum show is sold out. Show begins at 8PM.

U2 and Billy Joel in Boston

Two of the biggest tours of the summer stop in Boston this weekend. U2 lands at the TD Garden for four shows starting tonight and shows run through next Wednesday July 15. All accounts from prior shows suggest you don’t want to miss this tour. Some tickets are still available for shows on Tuesday and Wednesday. Next Thursday July 16 brings Billy Joel to Fenway Park, a return engagement after last year’s sold out show. Hope you already have tickets, because this show is also officially sold out.

Vans Warped Tour Tuesday

With over 90 bands scheduled to perform, the Vans Warped Tour is the largest touring rock show on earth. The touring festival includes workshops, music lessons and more on 9 stages. A favorite among young musicians, the punk/alternative tour hits the Xfinity Center Tuesday July 14. General Admission tickets are $42.50 plus fees – music begins at 11AM.
