We’re hoping TV’s are close by over the next few days … of course the music always comes first, but it’s the Red Sox - in the World Series!
Joe Fletcher and the Wrong Reasons
Tomorrow night, head to Music at Lily Pads in Peace Dale to catch Roots-Country star Joe Fletcher and the Wrong Reasons. Local hero Fletcher is now living in Nashville where we expect his band to continue to get a lot of attention. Lily Pads is located in the Unitarian Universalist Church at 27 North Road in Peace Dale (S. Kingstown). Christopher Paul Stelling and Dan Blakeslee open at 7:30. Tickets are $15 for students and $18 for everyone else.
Boobstock Festival
Also tomorrow night, Dusk has the annual 990WBOB's 5th Annual Boobstock. Bands include Sex Coffee, Torn Shorts, Satellites Fall, Kait Clavette, and the Stilts. Breast Cancer Awareness Month continues with this great fundraiser at Dusk. The music starts at 8PM - donations accepted at the door.

Explore the sounds of Latin America on Sunday night with Peruvian sensation Eva Ayllon at the Park Theatre. She’s been described as the “diva of Afro-Peruvian music” and has received numerous Latin Grammy nominations. Even better, her style has been compared to Tina Turner - sounds like a fun time! Tickets are $25 and $35. Show starts at 7:30.
Justin Townes Earle
Tuesday night, check out the talented Justin Townes Earle at the Newport Blues Café. A Newport Folk Fest favorite, and eldest son of Steve Earle, Justin is much admired on the Americana scene. Local rockers Smith and Weeden open the show at 8:30. Tickets are $17 in advance, $20 day of show.
Winery Dogs
Finally, next Thursday, October 31, our Halloween night “Pick” goes to the Winery Dogs who will be rocking out at the Met. The Halloween night show will be an All Ages event. Tickets are $35 in advance, $37 day of show. Joining the Dogs at the Met will be special guests the SixxiS. Doors at 7PM, show begins at 8PM.
