Don't Miss Brad Paisely at the Comcast Center this weekend for the start of the summer concert season!
Friday May 17th means it’s time to get funkified with the Bernie Worrell Orchestra at the Knickerbocker Café in Westerly. Worrell, a member of the Rock Hall of Fame, is well known for his work on keyboards with Parliament – Funkadelic and the Talking Heads. You can also catch them next month at the Spot in Providence.
There's some serious cover band action taking place this weeked. Get an early start with Beatles tribute act Abbey Rhode is at Sandywoods. Got that, Elvis?

Bridging the wonderful divide between Blues and Rock, the western Massachusetts native honed his sound with Double Trouble veterans Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon. If you never got to see Stevie Ray Vaughn, go see Albert Cummings – you won’t be disappointed.
Friday begins the summer concert series at the Comcast Center in Mansfield. Let’s hope the weather cooperates for Brad Paisley, who opens the season. Saturday night at Comcast features the annual KISS108 concert with Demi Lovato headlining.
On Saturday May 18th , we cheat a little and feature Three Cover Band Musts. Stones fans can’t miss the Blushing Brides at Rock Junction, The Met has Playing Dead, and Rod Stewart Impersonator Rick Larimore is at the East Greenwich Odeum.
Looking ahead to next Thursday May 23, Local 121 has critically acclaimed roots band Bow Thayer and Perfect Trainwreck. Based around Bow’s electric banjo, the sound is fresh, yet familiar. Look them up and then check them out along with local favs Smith and Weeden and Zack Slik. The show begins at 9:00 PM.
