Reggae Festival Saturday

Hot weather and cool vibes promise to make you happy tomorrow as the Providence Waterfront Reggae Festival returns to the capital city. Waterfront Events is back with a series of shows around Providence, including Third Eye Blind and Ziggy Marley next month. Tomorrow’s fest at India Point Park features leading reggae stars Maxi Priest, The Wailers, Etana, The Ravers and Jesse Royal. Gates open at Noon and tickets start at $41, children under 12 free with paying adult. (Pictured: Maxi Priest)

Foo Fest Saturday

AS220’s annual Foo Fest is back tomorrow and better than ever. The day-long celebration of the arts has a full slate of music headlined by trailblazing musical performance artist Dan Deacon. N.B. Blues Fesitval

Blues fans won’t want to miss the New Bedford Waling Blues Festival tomorrow at Ft. Tabor Park overlooking Buzzard’s Bay. Some great local bands including Quinn Sullivan and Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish take the stage before nationally known acts Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Shemekia Copeland. The Silks at Aurora

Tonight at Aurora is the official Providence album release party for The Silks. The band’s new release Turn Me On is a blues laden southern rock album like they used to make ‘em. Carnival of Madness
