Monet X Change will be featured at Pridefest.

Rhode Island Pridefest is set to take over downtown Providence this weekend for the 43rd consecutive year.

See things to do in the Slideshow Below

This year’s festival is focused on the theme “Louder and Prouder.”

It will feature a parade on Saturday night, parties throughout the weekend and live musical performances from local artists like Existenz, Derek Capobianco and Jodi Jolt and The Volt, among others.

There will also be a Pride Rally, meet and greets and more.

Illuminated Night Parade 

The parade starts at Dorrance Street and then proceeds to Washington Street, South on Empire Street, and East on Weybosset Street.

The parade ends just past the reviewing stand under the marquee at the Providence Performing Arts Center.

The parade begins at 8 p.m.

Performance by Mary Day Band 

Coventry pop group Mary Day Band is bringing their show to RI Pridefest on Saturday afternoon. 

The group will perform from 2:10 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. at the Main Stage on South Water Street.

Celebrate Pride at The Dark Lady on Saturday night. 

The event will include music from DJ Joey Dee and DJ Mario.

Performance by Young Kaii 

Hip-hop artist Young Kaii will be performing on the Main Stage on South Water Street on Saturday. 

She will perform from 1:25 p.m. to 1:40 p.m. 

Young Kaii, formerly known as K Star, is a talented female rapper who fell in love with hip-hop at a very young age. Writing her first verse at fourteen, Kaii discovered rapping and writing as a way for her to release the stress of a not-so-perfect home environment.

Pride Parade Party at Providence G 

The Pride Parade Party will be held on the sidewalks of the Providence G in downtown Providence. 

The party will include outdoor bars, a DJ and plenty of food. 

The party goes from 5 p.m. to midnight.

Performance by Existenz 

Lesbian rapper, producer, and singer Existenz will perform on the Main Stage on South Water Street on Saturday afternoon.

Her song “Battle for Love” will be dedicated to Youth Pride, Inc.

The performance will go from 5:45 p.m. to 6 p.m.

RI Pride Main Event Block Party at Club Ego

Club Ego in Providence will host a massive block party on Saturday night after the parade.

The party will feature Grammy-nominated DJ Roseabel and much more.

The party begins immediately after the parade ends.

The Imperial Court of Rhode Island

The Imperial Court of Rhode Island (ICRI) takes over the Main Stage on South Water Street from 1:45 p.m. to 2 p.m. 

The mission and purpose of ICRI is to raise charitable funds and perform noble deeds for the community at large, as well as offer an outlet for social interaction among those who share the same interest.

Singer Jackie Collins will perform at the Main Stage on South Water Street on Saturday afternoon. 

Collins will be on from 3:50 to 4 p.m., but will also be singing the National Anthem during the Pride Rally starting at 3 p.m.

Meet the Triple Crown Winners 

All five triple crown winners will be available from 5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. 

They can be found at the Main Stage on South Water Street.

RI Pridefest 2018: Louder and Prouder at South Water Street 

Access to the PrideFest will be through the South Entrance by Wickenden Street and a North Entrance at the start of Memorial Blvd and South Water Street.

The PrideFest will feature a mix of live entertainment, a business marketplace with over 200 plus vendors, Kid’s Zone, food trucks, arts, Youth Center, and a beer, wine, and spirits garden. 

The event goes from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Performance by Jodi Jolt and The Volt

The rock band Jodi Jolt and The Volt will kick off Pridefest with a performance the Main Stage on South Water Street from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. 

Jodi Jolt and The Volt came together in June of 2011 at RI Pride, performing for the first time at the old Club Gallery in Providence. 

The Volt performed live on the Tony Jones Radio Show, and was featured in Frock Magazine and Transformation Magazine, and has been performing all over New England.

The Volt does benefits for good causes like RI Pride.

Tribe - The Stable Pride Block Party at The Stable

The party will feature gogo dancer Casey Everett, DJ Dominic Pacifico, DJ Kenneth Rivera and much more.

The Main Stage on South Water Street will host a drag block from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. 

The block will feature Monét X Change, a contestant on season 10 of RuPaul's Drag Race, Monique Heart, a contestant on season 10 of RuPaul's Drag Race, and Laila McQueen, a contestant on season 8 of RuPaul's Drag Race.
