Another busy weekend of events in Rhode Island. Fall Festivals are in full swing as well as other great events and activities. To help you decide where to go and what to do this weekend, GoLocalProv has compiled a list of ten great things to do.

September 25th

In preparation for the 25th Annual Bowen's Wharf Seafood Festival, Busking @ Bowens Wharf presents live acoustic music  featuring performances from My Mother's Moustache, Panoramic View, The Troubles, The Copacetics, and soloists that include Ilana Katz Katz, Dave Schneider, Warren Smith and Kate Grana. 

Performances will be held from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.  every weekend leading up to the seafood festival. 

It is FREE to attend the concerts.

Food Truck Friday at Carousel Village 

Every Friday in September is Food Truck Friday at Carousel Village at Rogers Williams Park. 

Food Truck Friday features great food, live music and entertainment and beer that is provided by Foolproof Brewing and Trinity Brewhouse. 

Food Truck Friday goes from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is FREE to attend.

DESIGN WEEK features over 11 days of events and brings together nationally recognized speakers as well as local Rhode Island design stars through tours, luncheons, talks, showcases, parties and more. 

Events include guest speakers such art innovator Janet Echelman, a marathon clambake  as well as several luncheons and showcases.

10th Annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival

The 10th Annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival takes place this weekend. 

The Festival is a two day grand tasting with hundreds of wines on the lawn of Marble House. The festival will feature celebrity chef appearances and cooking demonstrations by personalties both national and regional. 

There is free parking and shuttle transportation.

New England Family Fun Festival 

This two day festival will be held at the Rhode Island Convention Center and will feature fun for the entire family. 

There will be interactive games, fitness, live performances, dancing, face painting and more. 

Admission is $14 for adults and $10 for children.

Steven K. Latimer Memorial 5k 

The Steve K. Latimer Memorial 5k for families against violence is set for Saturday at Roger Williams Park - Temple of Music. 

Along with the walk, there will also be face painting, popcorn, cotton and candy and a performance by brother to brother.

The 5th Annual Bridal Extravaganza is set to be held at Alpine Country Club, located at 251 Pippen Orchard Road in Cranston.
