RI Pridefest set to take place across downtown Providence

There is plenty going on around the state of Rhode Island to keep you busy this Father's Day weekend. From festivals to activities and shows, there are events for all ages. 

This weekend’s events include Pridefest, the 5th annual Oyster Festival, and Father’s Day events across the state.

The Columbus Cooperative proudly presents an acoustic evening with Real Estate and special guest Habibi.

The concert is good for all ages.

RI Places Exhibit at Gallery Z 

The exhibit features work from many artists including Ruth Clegg.

Clegg is an award-winning artist and photographer with more than 30 years of experience in art, design, education, and travel.

Clegg received her bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island and founded Angell Photography in 1985.

In 2001, she expanded the studio into an art gallery. She is a member of the Professional Photographers Association of Rhode Island, New England and America, and of the Providence Art Club.

Clegg also works in various other mediums, and has exhibited nationally and internationally.

The exhibit will also feature works from William Daby, David DeMelim, Angelo Marinosci, Jr., Ian Mohon, Ewa Romaszewicz and Anthony Tomaselli.

RI Pridefest Illuminated Night Parade 

The parade starts at Dorrance Street and then proceeds to Washington Street, South on Empire Street, and East on Weybosset Street.

The parade ends just past the reviewing stand under the marquee at the Providence Performing Arts Center.

The parade begins at 8 p.m.
