Newport seal tours launch this weekend

There is plenty going on around Newport to keep you busy over the weekend. From live music to art, there is something for everyone.

This weekend's events include the final days of Newport Restaurant Week, a Veterans Day Remembrance ceremony, seal tours and more.

The Ravers 30th Anniversary Concert at The Parlor

The Ravers will celebrate their 30th anniversary on Friday night with a concert at The Parlor. 

"We're celebrating our 30th anniversary, with some special guests, and an earlier show, too," said the Ravers on their Facebook page.

Newport Restaurant Week

This is the final weekend of Newport Restaurant Week. 

Newport Restaurant Week takes place both in the spring and in the fall with more than 50 participating restaurants offering extraordinary two-course prix fixe lunches for $20 and three-course prix fixe dinners for $35, and a three-course premier prix fixe dinner for $50.

Congregation Jeshuat Israel Presents "Remembering Dokshitsy" at Touro Synagogue

Congregation Jeshuat Israel (Touro Synagogue) cordially invites you to a Kristallnacht commemoration, a screening of “Remembering Dokshitsy,” a documentary short film directed by Michele Vlakov.

The film highlights the efforts of Aaron Ginsburg as he helped a local government restore a Jewish cemetery and preserve the memory of Dokshitsy, Parafianov, and other villages in Belarus.

The event goes from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
