Women & Infants Seeks Menopausal Women for National Study

Women & Infants Hospital is looking for women who have gone through menopause for a national study, and participation may pay as much as $650.
The hospital is participating in a national, randomized study, sponsored by EndoCeutics, to investigate the efficacy of a new medication for menopausal experiences of vaginal dryness, vaginal or vulvar irritation or itching, or pain associated with sexual activity. Women who are postmenopausal and ages 40 to 75 years may be eligible to participate and may receive financial compensation up to $650.
No reason to not enjoy sexual activity because of menopause
"Just because a woman has gone through menopause does not mean that she has to feel physically uncomfortable, nor should she no longer be able to enjoy sexual activity,” says John Buster, MD, lead investigator and a reproductive endocrinologist in the Center for Reproduction and Infertility at Women & Infants Hospital and professor of obstetrics and gynecology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Tufts Medical Center. “We are studying a simple, hormone-based cream to determine the best dosage and timing to provide the most relief for women.”
