Two Local Doctors Earn Prestigious Posts

Two doctors from Women & Infants Hospital have been appointed positions at the prestigious Centers for Scientific Review in the Department of Health and Human Services, part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Barbara S. Stonestreet, MD, of Barrington, a neonatologist in Women & Infants’ Department of Pediatrics, will serve as a member of the Brain Injury and Neurovascular Pathologies Study Section. Mary C. Sullivan, PhD, of Richmond, a research scientist in Women & Infants’ Brown Center for the Study of Children at Risk, will serve as a member of the Nursing Science: Children and Families Study Section. Members are selected on the basis of their demonstrated competence and achievement in their scientific discipline as evidenced by the quality of research accomplishments, publications in scientific journals, and other significant scientific activities, achievements and honors.
