Yoga isn't just for the granola-toting, hemp-wearing hippies anymore.

Now you see bankers running from a business meeting straight to Bikram and football players working on their downward dog. Many are seeing the various forms of yoga as an alternative to the monotony of the treadmill- a good, thorough workout with mental benefits, as well as physical.

Now that the yoga bug has spread, more and more studios are popping up around Providence. So which neighborhoods are embracing their inner yogis the most? Our data gurus at FindTheHome calculated the number of yoga studios per 10K people in each neighborhood to find out.

Of the neighborhoods with at least 1 yoga studio, Upper South Providence snagged the top spot, with 4.2 yoga studios per 10K people, followed by Wayland, which has 3.1 yoga studios per 10K people. The neighborhood that been the slowest in embracing the Namaste is College Hill, with 1 yoga studios per 10K people.
