Landmark Medical Center is in danger of being purchased by Cerberus Corporation and Kent County Hospital is in trouble.  Should we care?  Yes, but not for the reasons you might expect.  GoLocalProv's medical expert Dr. Michael Fine shares his views on the value of a local hospital.

Hmm, granted I am not familiar with Rhode Island hospitals, I would think that hospitals lower costs to access better technology, at least in terms of diagnostics.
