Giovanni Feroce Appointed Chairman of Rare Disease United Foundation

Feroce, former CEO of Alex and Ani, graduated with a with a BA from the University of Rhode Island. He also holds a degree from the Wharton School Advanced Management Program.
“We are very excited to have Mr. Feroce join our Board,” said Patricia Weltin, Rare Disease United Foundation’s Executive Director and Founder. “We are growing quickly and Mr. Feroce’s talent for channeling growth and his experience in government relations makes him the ideal Chair. The Rare Disease United Foundation is made up of volunteers who are rare disease patients and parents who use their journey to effect real change for the 30 million Americans living with a rare disease and we look forward to Mr. Feroce’s leadership abilities taking us to many more states across the country.”

Inspector Comments: "The pre-flush spray hose at the 2 bay sink is hanging below the flood rim. A plumbing system shall be installed to prevent backflow of a liquid or gas contaminant into the water supply by providing an air gap or installing an approved backflow prevention device."
Result: Plumbing installed; proper backflow devices.

Inspector Comments: "Protective shielding is not provided for the lights in the prep area and dishwasher area. Light bulbs must be shielded, coated, or otherwise shatter-resistant in areas where there is exposed food; clean equipment, utensils, and linens; or unwrapped single-service and single-use articles."
Result: Adequate ventilation & lighting; designated areas used.
Founded in 1954, Cozy Caterers is located in the Federal Hill area of Providence. It provides full-service off-premises catering for business functions, casual social events, weddings and private dinners for over five decades. The business is owned by Providence City Council President Michael Solomon and his wife Denise. According to the company's website its mission is to "offer New Englanders wholesome food and drink with true flavor and personality.”
