Vote For Rhode Island’s Best New Burger at Luxe

The top five contestants in Luxe Burger Bar’s 3rd Annual Build Your Own Burger contest have been named, after more than 200 people submitted recipes to be crowned Best Burger of 2013.
“This year is going to be an especially tough time for our judges,” said Chris Blouin, Executive Chef at Luxe Burger Bar. “The top five finalists created some of the best burgers we’ve ever had!”

Throughout the month of August, guests were encouraged to make the most outrageously delicious burger creation their culinary imaginations could dream up. To participate, contestants simply filled out an entry form to create their masterpiece from a list of more than 45 ingredients already offered at Luxe, as well as two of their own secret ingredients.
The top five contestants’ burgers will be featured on the Luxe menu for the remainder of the month of September, where they will be voted on by guests and showcased on The Rhode Show on WPRI 12. The top five will then be invited to the final showdown on Saturday, September 28th at 12:00 p.m., when the best burgers will be prepared for a panel of culinary and celebrity judges, including The Rhode Show’s Will Gilbert, GoLocalProv.com’s Sean DeBobes, and the editors of FrontRowEats.com, who will evaluate each submission’s creativity, taste, edibility, ease of production, overall composition, and the burger’s name. Final scoring will be based on votes on Facebook and www.luxeburgerbar.com; sales of the burger during the month of September; and the experts’ opinions.
The winner will take home a $500 Chow Fun Food Group gift card and have their burger featured on the Luxe menu.
