The Cellar: 2016 New England Tequila & Rum Festival

Attention all Cocktail, Tequila & Rum Lovers! Starting tomorrow Twin River Casino in Lincoln Rhode Island will play host to the 2nd annual New England Tequila & Rum Festival, a three-day celebration of special events, live entertainment, food pairings, blind spirit tasting, cooking demonstrations, seminars, bartending competitions and product samplings.
The events kicks off on Wednesday, May 4th with a Nor’Easter Wipeout-Tiki Competition at 7pm at the Lighthouse Bar and will last through Saturday, May 7th, coinciding with the Kentucky Derby this year, from 2pm – 6pm in the Twin River Event Center.
One of the highlights of the weekend is the Cabo Code-Thick & Crafted Bartender & Chef Showdown being held on the main stage on Saturday, May 7th @ 3pm. Cabo Wabo Tequila embraces the idea of taking a thicker cut of life. Come watch as teams of chefs & mixologists compete to showcase this lifestyle, pairing great cocktails with even greater culinary cuts!! Only 8 teams will be selected to compete for a trip for the grand prize of a trip for 2 to Cabo San Lucas.
