Restaurants Extend Providence Restaurant Week Deals
Saturday, July 30, 2011
Lovers of deals, and food, are going to love the latest news from some favorite local restaurants.
At least five are extending their Providence Restaurant Weeks deals.
This makes some of the best dining around downright affordable - irresistible, even. For this quintet, the $14.95 3-course luncheon and $29.95 3-course dinner menus will last throughout the summer, and perhaps all the way until the end of the year.
At CAV, this means a lunch with a shot of lobster bisque, steamed littlenecks and raspberry sorbet is still in the offing (the dinner special is also still available). What better way to while away an afternoon?
Up on Federal Hill, the deals practically line Atwells Avenue, and promise to extend for the rest of the year. At Mediterraneo, don't miss a mixed field greens salad, Cannelloni Al Forno, and a homemade tiramisu for dinner, for $29.95. Up the street at Amici Bar & Grille, take advantage of that dinner special price to snag an Amici Sushi Roll as part of your three-course meal (don't miss the cinnamon and ricotta fritters for dessert). And in the heart of DePasquale Square, the 3-course dinner menu at Caffe Dolce Vita offers a creamy Linguini Con Gamberi Fra Dia Volo, plus Filetto Alla Grigila (a 6-oz. Bistro filet mignon wrapped with smoked applewood bacon, grilled, and topped with gorgonzola butter). A special on top of a special: enjoy a dinner for two with a bottle of wine for $49.95.
Feeling downtownish? Go for the extended deals at Capriccio, where specials like calamari fritti, Linguine St. Lucia, Veal Parmigiana, and Berries & Prosecco Sabayon rule the menu. Again, a 3-course meal with these, and other, featured items, is only $29.95.
