Owner of Teo Costa Winery and Visiting Chef from Alba, Italy to Host at Massimo

The new Federal Hill star restaurant, Massimo has announced a November wine dinner created by special guest from Italy. The meal will be prepared and hosted by guests directly from Alba, Italy.  

On Thursday November 17, at 6pm Massimo will welcome Roberto Teobaldo winemaker of Teo Costa Winery. Robert will be joined by guest Chef Maurizio from Ugo’s Gastronomia who will prepare a meal in the traditional style of Alba, Italy to be paired with wines from the Teo Costa portfolio.

The evenings menu consists of:

1st

Fonduta in Cocotte con Tartufo  fondue casserole with black truffles

Paired with Barbera D'Alba, Cassellinaldo, Teo Costa

 

2nd

Carne Cruda Battuta al Coltello con Tartufo  beef tartare with black truffles

Paired with Nebbiolo, Ligabue, Teo Costa

3rd

Vitello Tonnato & Pepperoni alla Vecchia Maniera  sliced veal with tuna aioli, peppers old style

Paired with Dolcetto Langhe, Trifulot, Teo Costa

 

4th

Riso che Abbraccia il Tartufo  arborio rice with black truffles

Paired with Barbaresco, Lancaia, Teo Costa

 

5th

Brasato al Barolo con il Contorno braised veal with autumn vegetables

Paired with Barolo, Monroj, Teo Costa

6th

Bunet Della Nonna dark chocolate and amaretto dessert

Paired with Recioto della Valpolicella, Il Roverone

The wine dinner is priced at $100 all inclusive.  Massimo is located at the entranceway to Historic Federal Hill and offers an inviting experience in New Rustic Italian dining.
