NEW: Huffington Post Names RI’s La Lupita To Best Tacos List

La Lupita Tacos Mexicanos in Providence gets some big love on the national taco stage today in the Huffington Post.
The Olneyville eatery earned its spot on the list by being the favorite go-to for tacos in the opinon of longtime Providence Journal staffer Gail Ciampa, who was polled along with 9 other food writers to name the best tacos in their hometowns.
The Providence shout-out was the only New England city polled in the feature, which also named top tacos in Austin, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Phoenix, San Antonio, and San Diego.

"Rhode Island is a long way from Mexico, but we remain today a terrific spot for immigrants to settle," they say. "So it is that we have become a very small state with some very good Mexican restaurants."
