NEW: Gracie’s to Host Rooftop Wine Tasting this Weekend
Saturday, July 30, 2011
It will be the coolest, most delicious night in town. Gracie’s first-ever rooftop garden “Wines of the World” Grand Summer tasting event this Sunday July 31st from 7pm-10pm will bring you to the roof of The Peerless Building in downtown Providence where Gracie’s rooftop garden is located. There you can sample up to 50 wines from selected wine regions around the world, as well as artisan craft beer selections by Berkshire Brewing Company.
“We’re very excited to bring this opportunity to our guests,” said Gracie’s Wine and Spirits/Private Events Director Brendan Chipley Roane. “They can learn about the wonders of wines from around the world and taste for themselves how the same grape variety will change in different regions of the world. They’ll also be able to savor these wines in a remarkable setting.”

Wrap up your evening with a special spirits tasting led by DonQ Rum Distillery and sample the array of hors d’oeuvres, prepared by Gracie’s Executive Chef Matthew Varga - all whilst soaking in the view of Providence’s skyline and listening to live entertainment.
Gracie's, known for its creative American cuisine, is also well-known for its Star Chef series that pairs wines with a menu created by visiting chefs. The popular restaurant's wine list features more than 200 wines, so Sunday's event is the perfect compliment.
Tickets for Gracie’s Rooftop Garden “Wines of the World, Grand Summer Tasting” are $75. They may be purchased at Gracie’s, 194 Washington Street, Providence, 272-7811, or at The Savory Grape, 1000 Division Road (Unit 120), East Greenwich.
