More than 100 wines will be featured this Sunday at Renaissance Wine Festival in downtown Providence.

Wine lovers, get ready. Bella Consulting & Events is excited to celebrate the 8th anniversary of the Renaissance Wine Festival, coming up this Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Bank of America City Center in Providence's Kennedy Plaza.

The wines

The Renaissance Wine Festival will feature hundreds of wines from some of the most prestigious wineries across the globe throughout the day. Some of the featured selections include; Catena Chardonnay, HARBOR TOWN, Scarbolo Merlot, Chocolate Moscato, Costal Ridge Pinot Noir, Parducci, Black Stallion Cabernet Sauvignon, Irony Napa Chardonnay, Louis Latour, Four Vines Old Vine Zinfandel, and Zaccagnini Bianco.

The chefs

A hallmark of the Renaissance Festival is the Rhode Island Kitchen & Bath cooking demonstration stage area, and this year's chef include Kevin Millonzi of Millonzi Fine Catering, Chef Paul Jalef of Vanity, and Chef Brian O’Donnell of Café Nuovo. Each live chef demonstration will feature 20-minute sessions of their special recipe, while educating guests with their secrets on how to make each dish. In addition to the wine and added entertainment, guests can shop at the Alex and Ani Bangle Bar, and enjoy massages at the Massage Envy booth.  

The details

The festival kicks off at 2pm with an hour-long VIP reception to a limited amount of VIP ticket holders.  The VIP hour features exclusive premium wines, along with passed and stationed hors d’ oeuvres from some of Rhode Island’s best restaurants including; The Iron Works Tavern, Millonzi Fine Catering, and Tea & Javas. From 3:00 to 6:00pm, the festival will open to all general admission ticket holders. Guests will have the leisure of sampling hundreds of wines from all over the world.
