Don’t Miss: “Blackout” Vertical Beer Tasting at Newport Storm
Saturday, December 08, 2012
Are you afraid of the dark? Don’t be... at least not when it comes to beer! And the folks at Newport Storm are brewing up an event for January that is all about dark beer--a “Blackout” Vertical Tasting. Don't miss this night of mischief in the Brewery’s Visitors Center on January 19, 2013 from 5:30-7:30pm. Tickets will become available on December 15.
For fans of Newport Storm's annual releases, who've sipped on the “East African Cocoa and Raspberry” ‘05 Release back in the day or more recently indulged in the latest ‘12 Annual Release “Mayan Ruins,” it will be a night of favorites old and new. Newport Storm's Vertical Tastings feature Annual Release brews out of retirement for one night only, and this year's theme are the darkest of the dark.
Dark and stormy
Guests will be treated to a blast from the past as Founder and President Brent Ryan presents Storm’s vintage black brews including our ‘07 “Seven Malts! Seven Hops! Dark as Night…” which features English Chocolate and German Munich Malts along with German Magnum and English Chinook Hops, but don’t let the delectable flavor fool you, this beer is strong with a 10.8% ABV!
