Don’t Miss: “Blackout” Vertical Beer Tasting at Newport Storm
Saturday, December 08, 2012
For fans of Newport Storm's annual releases, who've sipped on the “East African Cocoa and Raspberry” ‘05 Release back in the day or more recently indulged in the latest ‘12 Annual Release “Mayan Ruins,” it will be a night of favorites old and new. Newport Storm's Vertical Tastings feature Annual Release brews out of retirement for one night only, and this year's theme are the darkest of the dark.
Dark and stormy
Guests will be treated to a blast from the past as Founder and President Brent Ryan presents Storm’s vintage black brews including our ‘07 “Seven Malts! Seven Hops! Dark as Night…” which features English Chocolate and German Munich Malts along with German Magnum and English Chinook Hops, but don’t let the delectable flavor fool you, this beer is strong with a 10.8% ABV!
Our Visitors Center Manager Claire Sullivan, who is thrilled for this tasting says, “I’m excited to taste the early years that I’ve heard such great things about! I know the ‘05 will be a treat, you can’t go wrong with chocolate and raspberry!”
Going along with the theme of “Blackout!” the brewery will get dressed up in a mischievous, dark fashion and guests of the Vertical Tasting are invited to dress in black. In addition to sipping on old and new Annual Release brews, Newport Storm will also bring out some of their vintage apparel! Pick up a Newport Storm classic grey sweatshirt or women’s black fleece to keep warm on cold January nights.
Tickets will be available for purchase here and at Newport Storm's Visitors Center starting December 15, 2012, just in time for Christmas. Gift your loved ones with a night of scrumptious brews and lots of excitement this holiday season for just $20 (plus tax)! But get your tickets fast, only 30 are available! Hope that you can join us for a night of “wicked” fun.
