Don’t Miss: A Taste of Burgundy at Newport’s Chanler at Cliff Walk

The wines of Burgundy's Louis Latour will be the focus of this Sunday's tasting at Newport's Chanler at Cliff Walk. Don't miss it.

The Chanler at Cliff Walk is excited to celebrate its 10th Anniversary this year and as part of the festivities, will host the first Tasting Series event of 2013, A Taste of Burgundy, this coming Sunday, February 24th from 1- 4 p.m.

The ticketed event will take place at Spiced Pear restaurant, where guests can experience many of the finest Burgundy wines available from Maison Louis Latour, including Volnay, Meursault, Gevrey-Chambertan, and more. Founded in the 17th century, the iconic family-run company of Maison Louis Latour is one of the most highly-respected négociant businesses in Burgundy. Renowned throughout the world for the quality of its red and white wines, the company has built a reputation for tradition and innovation. Latour’s vineyards extend from Chambertin in the north to Chevalier-Montrachet in the south and are solely planted with the two noble grape varieties—Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Andy Fruzzetti, wine expert and Northeast Regional Manager of Louis Latour, Inc., will be on hand to present the wines and discuss the significance of each. Andy has extensive experience in the industry, having worked for seven years on the sales of luxury wine accounts such as Louis Latour, Simonnet Febvre, Henry Fessy, and other portfolio wines from Maine to Bermuda.

If you can’t make it this Sunday, don’t be too upset as the Tasting Series continues all year long with events featuring the wines of Tuscany, a Sparkling Wine Tasting, several Wine Dinners and a Scotch and Cigar event. For the complete list of events, click here.
