Wednesday, September 03, 2014
Del's Lemonade was named the "most significant restaurant chain" in Rhode Island by Thrillist on Labor Day.
This is not surprising since Del's Lemonade has been a Rhode Island staple since 1948.
Del's Lemonade was founded by Angelo DeLucia, who brought over his father's recipe from Italy.

In the earlier years of the company, DeLucia began to use "Del's Trucks" to cover more mileage. "Del's Trucks" are still used in addition to storefront locations and sidewalk carts.
Del's competed with coffee milk over the title of RI's state drink and lost in 1993.
