Message: From GoLocalProv by GoLocalProv News Team : In 2014, the Providence Police issued a 15-page policy outlining pursuits and it specifically delineates under what conditions a pursuit is allowed. According to the Department’s policy, it is difficult to understand why the fatal pursuit on Thursday began, continued, and was not terminated. USA Today issued a series of articles and its analysis shows more than 5,000 bystanders and passengers have been killed across the United States in police chases since 1979.
