Message: From GoLocalProv by GoLocalProv News Team: Charter public school applications for the upcoming school year far outweighed the available openings, according to state held blind lotteries held this week. Applications for Rhode Island’s 22 charter schools, including the 17 member schools of Rhode Island League of Charter Schools, Achievement First, Blackstone Valley Prep and three schools that have received preliminary approval from the R.I. Board of Education, totaled more than 11,800 to fill less than 1,300 open slots. http://www.golocalprov.comhttp://beta.golocalprov.com/new-ri-charter-schools-see-huge-increase-in-applications
