Message: From GoLocalProv by GoLocalProv Health Team: In honor of World AIDS Day, which celebrated its 25th anniversary on December 1, The Miriam Hospital has announced a new pre-exposure treatment program to help Rhode Islanders prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS. Launched by The Miriam Immunology Clinic, the pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP program, offers a single, daily pill to Rhode Islanders at higher risk for HIV exposure.
