Shawmut Design Awarded $3M Project at PC

Shawmut Design and Construction has been awarded their first project with Providence College and will extensively renovate two dormitory buildings, Davis Hall and Raymond Hall. The $3 million project is scheduled to be completed by the start of the 2011-2012 academic year.

“Shawmut is a recognized leader of academic construction projects on campuses across New England,” said William Hughes, President and COO of Shawmut. “Our expertise in all aspects of academic construction, including residential life facilities, academic buildings, science and laboratories, and athletic and performance facilities, has allowed us to continually partner with New England’s elite institutions.”

The Providence based constructional management firm began the project in May and will renovate 83 suites in Davis Hall in addition to ceiling replacements and bathroom renovations in Raymond Hall.
