RI’s Web Site Ranks 4th in US

Rhode Island's official state Web Site, RI.gov, won top honors and ranks fourth among the "country's best Web sites" in the national Best of the Web competition by the Center for Digital Government.
The 2011 Best of the Web recognizes the most innovative state Web portals. According to the organization, "Sites are judged on overall efficiency, economy, functionality and design."
The new RI.gov website - which was launched last May -- "features an innovative design approach optimized for the changing ways citizens are using the Web." The new design adapts for use on a tablet, smartphone or desktop, enabling citizens to easily use RI.gov.
