Rhode Island’s Washington Trust Continues Connecticut Expansion

Washington Trust announced the the opening of its new mortgage production office located at 1025 Boston Post Road in Darien, Connecticut.

"We're excited to be a part of the Darien community," said Joseph J. MarcAurele, Washington Trust Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Washington Trust was founded on the RI-CT border in 1800, so we've been helping Connecticut homeowners and businesses for more than 200 years. This location will allow us to better serve the financial needs of the people in the Fairfield County area."

The company also has a mortgage office in Glastonbury, CT, as well as mortgages offices in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, was recently ranked as one of the fastest growing mortgage lenders in Connecticut according to the Commercial Record's "Fast 50."

The Darien office is managed by Washington Trust Mortgage Company Executive Vice President James L. Gueltzow and currently has three local mortgage loan officers on staff: Darlene B. Lee of New Canaan, CT; Kevin L. Kinahan of Wilton, CT, and George H. Zygmont of Cos Cob, CT. The team has been lending in Fairfield County over the past year through temporary facilities in Stamford.
