RE/MAX of New England has released their forecasts for 2015 and has concluded that millennial buyers will play a big role in the 2015 housing market across the region.

“Single-family homes increased 0.8% on average, while condominiums fared better, rising 2.7% over last year’s prices. This is the type of appreciation we expect to see in a healthy market and helps set the stage for what we can expect to see in 2015," said Dan Breault, the executive vice president and regional director of RE/MAX of New England.

In Rhode Island, single-family home sales decreased 1.3% year-over-year. Condominium sales decreased 7.0%. Average median price for single-family homes increased 3.8% compared to 2013, reaching $218,000.
