People’s Credit Union Employees Honored By Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

People’s Credit Union employees, Tracy Glover and Arthur Paul, Jr. were honored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)s -- the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer.
Glover is a Loan Operations Representative for the credit union and she is also chair of the Credit Union’s Community Enhancement Committee and she was honored for her dedication to LLS. She has been with the credit union for 10 years. During her time with the credit union she has organized the credit union’s team for the Light the Night Walk and organized ongoing fund raisers each spring for Pennies for Patients to benefit LLS.
“I am so proud of the employees at People’s and our members for their constant support to this wonderful cause. LLS has a mission I am passionate about and I’m happy to help any way I can,” commented Glover.

He was honored for serving as chair of the 2011 Newport Light the Night Walk. The Light the Night Walk is the fastest growing cancer fundraising evening walk in the country, attracting more than 250,000 participants annually. The Newport walk is one of two walks in Rhode Island, the other was held at Garden City Center in Cranston.
The credit union will again be fundraising for Pennies for Patients this March and forming a team to walk for Light the Night this fall.
