NEW: Shawmut Design Helps PC Friars Kick Off New Hockey Season

Shawmut Design and Construction executive Joubin Hassanein was on hand to help the Providence College Friars kick off the 2013 Ice Hockey Season at the newly renovated Schneider Arena. Hassanein dropped the puck for the Friars’ match-up against Minnesota State, the first scheduled game of 2013.
Shawmut Design and Construction recently finished the expansion and renovation of Providence College’s Schneider Arena, unveiling the redesigned space in a September 27 ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Designed by architect Symmes Maini & McKee Associates, the project included a new 30,000 square foot ground-up addition that houses the new lobby, ticket office, additional concessions, men’s and women’s varsity locker rooms and training rooms, varsity lacrosse locker room, strength and conditioning facility, coaching staff offices, and mechanical and operations rooms for the rink staff.
