NEW: Procaccianti Group Buys Renaissance Providence

The well-known Procaccianti Group has purchased the Renaissance Providence, the nearly 300 room hotel located next to the Rhode Island State House.

The announcement comes just a day after the Temple Downtown Restaurant—located inside the Renassance— abruptly closed its doors.

According to the company’s website, the Procaccianti Group has “owned, developed or managed over 100 hotels representing more than 20,000 guest rooms. TPG Hospitality is a fully accredited operator of InterContinental, Hyatt, Marriott, Westin, Hilton, and Wyndham that together represent over 40 hotel brands. TPG Hospitality has a proven track record of meeting the stringent demands of the major corporate brands and is recognized as a leader in performance, service, and quality.”
