NEW: Governor Chafee to Celebrate Expansion of Small Business in East Providence

Friday, April 06, 2012

On the heels of a recent move by Governor Lincoln D. Chafee and the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC) Board of Directors to provide better access to financing for Rhode Island businesses, the Governor on Monday will join company management and employees to celebrate the continued growth of East Providence-based Infusion Resource LLC.

The healthcare company received a $250,000 loan through the RIEDC’s Small Business Loan Fund that will help them hire 13 new employees.

Led by Governor Chafee, the RIEDC Board adopted a focused yet flexible work plan on March 26, 2012 aimed at helping Rhode Island businesses gain better access to the financing and credit they need to grow and create jobs. The plan will define and evaluate gaps in business financing and know-how resources, strengthen capital programs, like the Small Business Loan Fund, and increase the flow of private investment to Rhode Island businesses.

I couldn't bring myself to read the article with the fish eye photo of the King of RII soI can only assume that the governor must have heard about a new Kool Aid stand opening in East Prov. Well the Kool-Aid Stand ought to make it untill the Dept. of Business Regs come to visit and the Dept. ofvTaxation give a estimated tax bite of $50,000 or ore and definitely before the police summons for doing business while non-unionized. It ally sounds kind of real.. Doesn't it...?
