Juanita Sanchez, URI Students Team up For Biotech Experience

Students from Juanita Sanchez High School in Providence along with URI biotechnology professors and representatives of the biotech company Amgen will team up to participate in hands-on biotechnology activities on Friday, May 8 from 9-11:30 a.m. in room 302 of the URI Providence Campus.
The activities will include a laboratory exercise with E.coli which will be led by four students who have been trained in advance.

Since 2007, URI has presented this program to over 4,000 students from 40 schools in both RI and Massachusetts.
