“Cloud Meets Big Data: An Insider’s Look at the Information Technology Industry,” is the first in a series of lectures sponsored by Computing and Information Services at Brown that will feature top information technology CEOs from around the country.
Tucci, who has twice been named by Barron’s as one of the world’s top CEOs, will discuss how technology trends in social media, mobile devices, big data, and cloud computing are reshaping business, providing an insider’s perspective on the disruptive technology changes occurring in the marketplace — and their implications for the future.

Tucci is chairman and CEO of EMC Corporation, a Fortune 500 company specializing in cloud computing and big data applications. The company, based in Hopkinton, MA, has more than 60,000 employees worldwide. Ravi Pendse, vice president for Computing and Information Services (CIS) at Brown University, will welcome guests and moderate a question and answer session.
