Goodreau is Tapped by WhaleRock Point Partners as Managing Director

WhaleRock Point Partners, has tapped Ken Goodreau joined the firm as a Managing Director.  Prior to joining WhaleRock, Goodreau served as the Chief Investment Officer of the $8 billion Employees' Retirement System of Rhode Island from 2006 to 2012.  As the CIO, he was "responsible for all aspects of investment oversight including asset allocation, risk management and manager due diligence."  

At WhaleRock, he will serve as the Director of Research responsible for fundamental research, investment analysis, asset allocation and risk management.  In addition, Ken will spearhead the firm's expanding institutional business, working with foundations, pension plans and endowments.

Over the course of his career, Ken has held investment positions at several asset management firms.  From 2005 to 2006, Goodreau was Portfolio Manager and general partner of Knollwood Capital Partners, LLC, an independent hedge fund.  Additionally, he was a senior analyst at Leerink Swann, LLC, a leading healthcare investment bank, from 2001 to 2005.  More recently, he co-founded FlowPoint Capital Partners, a US equity long/short fund, where he retains his interest as principal.
