Foreclosure Rate Drops in Rhode Island

In May, foreclosures in Rhode Island declined with 287 properties receiving a foreclosure notice, down from the 525 homes that were notified of foreclosure in May. One in every 1,574 homes received a notice, a 28% drop from the previous month.
Realtytrac.com recently released May's foreclosure statistics that placed Rhode Island as the 39th-highest in foreclosures among the 50 states. In May, Rhode Island ranked 19th highest in the country.
What's the breakdown by county in Rhode Island for the month of May? Providence County had the most foreclosures (1653), while Bristol County had the fewest (56).
