Congressman James Langevin invites Rhode Island women in small business to a forum designed completely for them.

The “Women in Small Business Forum” will be held Thursday, March 24, at CCRI's Warwick campus, and is open now for registration.

The forum is not only for small women-owned businesses but also for women who would like to start a small business, say organizers. Further, the forum offers assistance on how to maneuver through the current economic downturn and come up whole. The goals are to focus on changes to federal programs that encourage women to apply for federal contracts, specifically the Women-Owned Small Business program with the Small Business Administration; to learn about the varied state programs, and local resources that are available.
