Comcast in Boston Will Feature WJAR 10

Tuesday, December 06, 2011

Beginning December 8, 2011, Comcast in the Boston area will begin moving WJAR’s signal from its current position, channel 10, to alternate channels.

This is being done because broadcast television station WWDP notified Comcast that it had elected to be carried on cable channel 10, the station’s digital broadcast channel. In accordance with their must-carry status, each cable system in the Boston (Manchester) market area must move their channel positions. The change will happen slowly between December 8, 2011 and December 15, 2011.

It affects Comcast customers in the cities and towns listed below:

Bridgewater, Brockton, East Bridgewater, Holbrook, West Bridgewater, Falmouth, Martha’s Vineyard, Plymouth, Sandwich
WJAR signal moving from channel 10 to channel 96

Canton, Foxboro, Foxboro East, Medfield, Medfield South, Norfolk, Norwood, Sharon, Wrentham, Bellingham, Blackstone, Blackstone East, Franklin, Hopedale, Mendon, Milford, Marion, Middleboro, Wareham
WJAR signal moving from channel 10 to channel 99

Barnstable, Chatham, Eastham, Mashpee, Nantucket, Provincetown, Yarmouth

If you have questions or concerns, please contact your Comcast Cable provider or visit www.comcast.com.
