As GoLocal first reported, WPRO-AM Program Director Paul Giammarco is leaving his post. He has been with the station as the Program Director since 2005.
Starting on Monday, the new guy was walking the halls at WPRO. His name is Craig Schwalb and has varied experience in the radio business. His resume includes Senior Director of Talk Programming at Sirius Satellite Radio. And he also lists experience in creating talk talent for stars and celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Nicole Miller, Terrell Owens, and Mark Sanchez among others.
In addition, Schwalb’s experience includes a Program Director job in Detriot and also an Assistant Program Director at WNEW-FM in New York. Also listed in his experience is his ability to work with talk show begingers “Trained and develop novice talk-show talent into strong entertainers.” So we’ll see if he brings any of that novice talent to the mic at WPRO-AM.
No word on Giammarco's future.
